Franke Sissons Ltd is one of Europe's largest manufacturers of stainless steel sanitary ware and the UK's leading manufacturer of industrial sinks and associated catering equipment. Franke Sissons is part of the Franke Group within the Washroom Systems division. Franke Sissons Ltd was founded in 1784 in Sheffield, England. It became one of the first companies in the world to manufacture a kitchen sink from stainless steel in the 1930's. The company is now based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England. Franke Sissons employs over 130 people in the UK, of which over 80 are involved in the manufacture of its stainless steel products. The Company has been approved since 1989 to ISO 9001 quality system. Franke Sissons are specialists in deep drawing/pressing of stainless steel and also uses laser cutting, robot welding and CAD/CNC technology to produce high quality products for the UK and worldwide markets. Markets and Products In the Sanitary market Franke Sissons is one of the leading European companies in the manufacture of stainless steel WCs, wash basins, urinals, hospital and prison sanitary ware. As part of the Franke Washroom System division, Franke Sissons is able to offer a wide range of complementary products to the commercial and institutional markets for well designed medium to heavy-duty sanitary ware. In the Catering market, Franke Sissons is the largest producer of catering sinks in the UK with pressed bowls and drainers, and can offer a wide special and standard product range suitable for European and world-wide markets. Other catering products include Floor and Wall Cupboards, Trolleys, Washbasins, Janitorial Units, Food Waste Disposal Units and Preparation Tables. Franke Sissons is a specialist producer of Non-residential sinks and bowls for installation in hospitals, schools, nursing homes and commercial buildings with the ability to manufacture special units in different grades of stainless steel.
